Attention North Central Aquaculturists!
2018 North Central Aquaculture Conference
Ames, Iowa, December 21, 2017 — The Aquaculture Associations of Missouri and Kansas, producers in the western section of the North Central Region, and the North Central Region Aquaculture Center (NCRAC), want to invite all aquaculturists to attend their 2018 North Central Aquaculture Conference, “Aquaculture in the Heartland of the United States” on February 9 & 10, 2018. Conference materials including registration, hotel information and is located at http://moaquaculture.org/conf.html; deadline for registration without additional late fees is February 1, 2018. The location for this conference is Embassy Suites, KCI Airport in Kansas City, Missouri.
Building on the success of past conferences in Ohio and Wisconsin, this conference is the 3rd joint regional aquaculture conference between the North Central state aquaculture associations and the NCRAC. The goal for these conferences is to bring vendors, experts and farmers together, providing the opportunity for farmers to learn of new products and advances in the industry.
Attendees will have the opportunity to hear presentations that cover a wide variety of aquaculture topics and research updates relevant to the region with 34 talks presented in 12 sessions. In addition to a day and half of great talks, Friday evening will include a banquet (with fresh locally produced farm raised trout), social and auction.
Plan on attending and making this a great conference, and donations are welcomed (an item, product, gift certificate, etc.) for the Missouri Aquaculture Association auction.
