North Central Region Aquaculture Contacts, Transport Regulations, BMP's and Approved Aquatic Species

Aquaculturists transporting or selling aquactic animals are responsible for following current regulations required by each state in which the activity occurs (selling or transporting) and are advised to contact state regulatory agencies responsible for permitting these activities.

In September, 2003, at the request of the North Central Regional Aquaculture Center's Industry Advisory Committee, a survey was conducted in the 12 North Central Region states and 9 surrounding states for the purpose of obtaining current information regarding regional:

Aquaculture Best Management Practices (BMPs)

Approved Aquatic Species 

Results of this survey can be accessed by selecting individual states listed below.  In surveys conducted September 2003 through May 2004, there were no reported BMPs for aquaculture. State-adopted BMPs will be listed once they become available.
